Blonde du Seigneur is a Cote-Rotie. This is also known as the Cote Blonde style. Aged in barrels for 18 months, 25% new wood. On the nose, black fruit and black olive are present, with a slight floral odour. In mouth this slightly tannic wine is aromatic and balanced with red cherry persistence and pepper notes.
Domaine Georges Vernay is one of the oldest and most famous estate in Condrieu. He highly contributed to the reintroduction of viognier on the hillsides of the region. If its white wines are iconic it?s not a reason not to pay attention to its reds.
