Macvin is obtained by the addition of Marc to semifermented grapes in order to stop fermentation. Hence, the wine shows a definite brandied aspect. Other than that, it is all about spices, herbs, raisins and nuts highlighted by an impressively smooth finish.
Jean Francois Ganevat has been elected winemaker of the year in 2018. He produces astonishing wines from the best terroirs of the Jura region which showcase the best expression of the region's native varieties. He also crafts a range of pop and drink Vins de France blended out from fruits bought all over France.
