Pronounced with a French K "ka", the K-Pot is a play on words for "calice" which refers to an holly cup. The vines are 25 years old and grown on red clay soils which impart amazing complexity and minerality to the wine. The wine goes through long maceration and is aged in oak barrels for 24 months on it's fine lees which adds superb depths of flavour to the superb minerality of the wine. The nose is superb ith intense black fruit aromas and the palate releaves a deep, dense and highly mineral wine.
Emmanuel Rybinski is definitely one of the most up and coming winemakers in the region. The 14 hectares vineyards is certified organic and biodynamic and located on an iron based plateau at the south of the Cahors appellation. This family business is ran with great care and dedication in order to produce world class wines. The vast majorities of the vines carries Malbec grapes although Emmanuel is farming a few white varieties and some Merlot vines.
