In the heart of the Coteau du Vernon, this 100% Viognier is harvested and pressed manually. Pressed directly upon reception in the cellar. Fermentation of clear juice is done in barrels, with temperature controlled must settling. Aged in oak barrels, on fine lees and regular stirring of the lees.
Domaine Georges Vernay is one of the oldest and most famous estate in Condrieu. He highly contributed to the reintroduction of viognier on the hillsides of the region. If its white wines are iconic it?s not a reason not to pay attention to its reds.
