Manual harvest and de-stemmed grapes. Native yeast fermentation, for the first 3 weeks, daily pump-overs. Malolactic fermentation in barrels. 2/3 aged in new barrels and 1/3 in used barrels. Fruity palate, with dark berries and black cherry notes. Depth and structure prevail, with medium acidity. Elegant with medium tannins.
Aurelien Chatagnier is known as one of the best young winemakers in the Rhone Valley region. He's crafting very pure and lean wines from organically farmed vineyards. A producer who deserves all our attention.
