This Cote de Brouilly is an amazing combination of power, elegance and vivacity. The nose offers dark and bright fruits, violets, smoke, dark minerality, perfume and exotic spices. The intense palate displays ample tannins, but they are silken and nicely integrated, and everything is animated by a stunning acid backbone.
Built in the 15th century, Chateau Thivin is the oldest property on the Mont Brouilly. In 1877, Zaccharie Geoffray purchased the estate with 2 hectares of lands. Since, then the Geoffray family extended the domaine and increased the quality of the production. Today, Claude Geoffray and his son are the 5th and 6th generation to run the family estate and they brought it to the very top of the Cote de Brouilly appellation.
