Montferrand Chardonnay comes from old vines planted on a terroir of Lias-period marls, harvested by hand. Vinification is done naturally with a very short maceration, transferred into oak barrels for fermentation and a maturation of five years. As always there are no additions.
Jean Francois Ganevat has been elected winemaker of the year in 2018. He produces astonishing wines from the best terroirs of the Jura region which showcase the best expression of the region' s native varieties. He also crafts a range of pop and drink Vins de France blended out from fruits bought all over France
