Hermitage Blanc Prisme Domaine Pilon 2020

This wine goes through 18 months aging in large oak barrels with 50% of them being new. The nose offers powerful aromas of stone fruits alongside arlequin candy hints. The palate although very rich offers an impressive tension which balances the ripe fruit aromas and the creamy texture of the wine. The finish is powerful and very long.

After 10 years of learning from some famous winemakers in France and Spain, Julien Pilon started his own domaine in 2110 and used to describe himself as a landless winemaker? as he started with rented vines. Today, Julien is working 5 hectares of vines, some owned, some rented and he is still buying grapes on the side for most of the production. The vines are farmed organically and the domaine just started the certification process. 80 percent of Julien?s production is white. He strives to produce white wines with flesh but with maximum freshness too. He wants to make balanced and precise whites.
