This white wine is made with 100% Chardonnay grapes and has a beautiful golden hue with aromas of pear and citrus. On the palate, it is crisp and refreshing with notes of green apple, lemon, and a subtle minerality.
The highly respected winemaker Jean-Marie Chaland founded the Domaine de Sainte-Barbe in 2000 in Vire-Clesse. This 9-hectare domaine has a classic production of Chardonnay, Gamay and Pinot Noir. This vineyard has always been managed and tilled without synthetic herbicides, it was certified organic since 2003. Most of the vines are over 50 years old. Wines are fruity, revealing great finesse.
