Some of the best plots in Meursault are entering the blend: Clous, Narvaux, Limozin, Crotots and Criots. The wine is very expressive and intense but never heavy. The strucutr is very impressive for a village wine!!
Jean Philippe Fichet is a very hard working and precise winemaker. As soon as one enters his very clean cellar they will get that serious wines are to be expected. Indeed, the wines are all about purity. Jean Philippe uses whole bunches when the grapes are ripe enough. The entry level wines are raised in demi-muids for a year and then assembled in tanks. The single vineyard wines are aged in barrels for 18 months with a maximum of 30% new oak on any cuvee.
