In order to go even further in the parcelar vinification, Stephane isolated the plot 538 of Les Desmalets - which used to be included in the so called cuv?e - for its white marle, high altitude and the strenght of the wind. The nose opens on a very precise flinty minerality before switching to citrus and mushroom aromas. The palate shows a soft texture and flavours of orange zest and cooked citrus with hints of smokiness. A great Sancerre.
In the famous appelation of Sancerre, domaine Claude Riffault produces intense organic wines on clay and limestone soils wich allows the vines to root deep down.
