On the nose the wine develops notes of blackberry jam, morello cherry, and clove. The palate is delicious, the material very silky, we feel the identity of the cabernet without having its vegetal side.
In 1985, Philippe Alliet took over the family business from his father and uncle, who had succeeded their father before them. The production of Chinon wine is truly a family affair, as Pierre Alliet, the fourth generation, is already training to eventually take over the leadership of the Chinon label. Philippe Alliet has elevated the Chinon appellation to the highest standards in the realm of Cabernet Franc wines.
