This gamay is twisted up by a small addition of chardonnay which brings some finesse to this rather big wine. The palate is rich and round around black fruits and spices flavours. The finish is long and velvety.
Built in the 15th century, Chateau Thivin is the oldest property on the Mont Brouilly. In 1877, Zaccharie Geoffray purchased the estate with 2 hectares of lands. Since, then the Geoffray family extended the domaine and increased the quality of the production. Today, Claude Geoffray and his son are the 5th and 6th generation to run the family estate and they brought it to the very top of the C?te de Brouilly appellation.
