This is a special cuvee, made from the La Noue vineyard but given an extra year of elevage in a wooden tank (making a total of 30 months). This extra ageing allows the tannins to round out and soften even more, giving a wine with a wonderfully smooth, creamy texture. The aromatic character of the wine is also remarkable; the nose if floral and perfumed, while the palate is packed with red and blue fruits and a touch of sweet spice. Wonderful.
In the famous appelation of Sancerre, domaine Claude Riffault produces intense organic wines on clay and limestone soils wich allows the vines to root deep down.
